IT’S GO TIME!
The Democrats say, “You must choose a side! If you vote 3rd party, you vote for Trump!”
Our mainstream media have shepherded us into warring camps.
They focus on divisive issues like race and gender instead of economic ones.
They focus on hatred of “others” and fear of what might happen.
The DNC, Progressives and major media are cheerleaders for censorship and 1984- style control. They try to shut up opposing opinions by shutting down platforms and shouting down critics. This has led to platforms such as Tik-Tok, TwitterX, Telegraph and Rumble getting shut down in many countries, and podcasters such as Russell Brand, Richard Medhurst and Glenn Greenwald getting deplatformed. AOC talks about “taking a close look at false statements” to preserve democracy.
Maybe you’ve heard statements like “Relax, there’s nothing you can do about these big issues,” or “Why are you criticizing the Democrats, Trump is much worse,” or “I don’t want to talk about politics”. The word politics comes from the word policies, aka the rules we’re expected to live by. So, If someone says they don’t want to talk about politics, they’re saying it’s best to just turn off your mind, relax and float downstream.
Back in the day, the Democrats were opposed to war, censorship and the restriction of our civil liberties, like bodily autonomy; but now they’re pro-war, pro-FBI/CIA, and in favor of forced medical experiments. People who vote for them are convinced that they are doing all they can to defeat Trump, proving that they’re suffering from TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome). Any criticism is met with a shallow attempt to change the subject and/or a request to STFU.
Our big task is to somehow penetrate this wall of resistance, so instead of criticism, we should focus on areas of agreement, common causes, and the greater good. Almost everyone has a pet project or a soapbox issue that they love to go on and on about, so if this narrative can be defined in terms of how to accomplish this, instead of continual “woulda-coulda-shoulda” talk, then progress can happen.
Oftentimes, it’s best to focus on “Looking out for #1”. Try to get people to declare what they are for instead of what they’re against. Use phrases like “Trust your gut” and “To thine own self be true” and “Focus on your moral code”. Many people pledge their allegiance to a cause or a group because they like something the group stands for. However, if you’re unsure of what you stand for, you’re in danger of assuming the group you’ve identified with shares your interests in all matters. It’s important to know what your ethics are, your standards and principles, so you’re sure about your decisions. Try to declare what you stand for before you sign up with a group that might not have your best interests in mind as time goes by. Try to get educated on the big issues, like genocide and never-ending military aggressions. Look for opportunities to help people decide about their red lines, the points where they no longer can stand by and just observe and make comments.
Bad things happen when good people stand by, watching evil.
We must somehow convince people that by not opposing genocide, they’re being complicit with genocide; either you are, or you aren’t, no middle ground or fence-sitting.
I want to hear about any attempts to heal the divide that was established during the pandemic. If you’re interested in trying to change someone’s opinion, I want to hear about it: [email protected]
